About the Manufacturer In the early 1960s, Jim O'Neal was a young teenager living in the foothills of Los Angeles, California. His passion for riding motorcycles quickly turned into an obsession. In 1961, at the age of 15, Jim borrowed a friend's '57 Frances Barnett to compete in the Rough Scrambles race in Acton, California. This experience fueled his racing ambitions, and he began racing his bike all over sunny California. A few years later, European racers came to the US to compete against the top American TT racers at the famous Corriganville Movie Ranch (Hopetown) near Jim's home.
